The festive season at Haar

St. Andrews at Christmas, nothing quite beats it…

Christmas isn’t quite just around the corner yet, but that doesn’t mean it is too early to be thinking about your festive celebrations. Christmas in St. Andrews is a sight to behold, with our enchanting town being transformed into a little winter wonderland, boasting lots of activities to do with your nearest and dearest. While the full list of the town’s goings-on is not quite yet confirmed, you can be rest assured that we’re well-prepared in plenty of time here at Haar.

 

Festive lunch and tasting menus

This year, we will be offering both a lunch and tasting menu filled with tantalising seasonal flavours, all expertly curated by Chef Dean Banks and the team here.

You will be able to indulge in some flavours of the cooler months such as rich Scottish venison, pork loin, and sharp brambles alongside some seasonal seafood offerings too.

All, of course, finished off with our ever-iconic Nana’s Banoffee dessert that has been a mainstay on the menu since day one. 

The festive lunch menu will be available daily throughout December between the hours of 12-2:30, priced at £35 per person. This, of course, will be offered alongside an optional wine pairing for each course at £40 per person.

The larger tasting menu will be offered each day throughout the month of December too. It has several additional courses and will be priced at £89 per person. Again, with an optional wine pairing on each course for £70 per person. Each wine has been expertly sourced by our in-house sommelier and is matched perfectly to those indulgent seasonal Scottish flavours you’ve come to expect at Haar.

 

Hogmanay menu

Thinking of bringing in the bells in St. Andrews? A visit to Haar will make 2023’s most iconic evening truly memorable.

Chef Dean Banks and the team have expertly curated a one-night-only menu that is the perfect way to kick off your celebrations in our historic town. 

Expect delectable seasonal flavours with a little sprinkle of that Haar pizzazz our guests have come to expect when dining with us. Orkney scallops, St. Andrews Bay lobster and Scottish Venison will all be making an appearance on this special evening’s menu, so you know it’s going to be a good’un.

The menu will be served from 5pm on the 31st, and priced at £150 per person, with option to add on a wine pairing for each course for £89 per person.
