The Haar (sea fog) harmonized with our bodies and lifted our spirits.

We had thought that we would just get a good dinner, but what we received was a magnificent performance of coordinated and varied dishes in the prix fixe menu, mostly related to the sea, that filled us with fine foods and memories.”

Delicious lunch & great value.

Lunch was delicious, great value. Have only been for dinner before so it was quieter than evenings. Definitely suites 2 fish lovers !”

Stunning

Seafood at its Finest, simply exceptional.

My wife and I adore Seafood and are always on the look out for different things, here you get it all.

Vibrant, Fresh, Packed with flavour, the Haar gives you the full dining experience at value for money in this day and age.

Service was brilliant, very casual and relaxed but attentive, nothing was too much trouble and it was seamless.

Well done chef on producing a first class meal for us both.”

Wonderful food in the heart of St. Andrews

We had a lovely lunch here with our daughter who lives nearby. She had told us Haar had a special lobster lunch in August, but when we sat down, we were not offered the menu for that lunch. We had to ask for it. We then sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. The beef yukhoe was ok. I’m not a fan of raw beef, but this was seasoned well enough. I liked the addition of the phyllo to give it texture. The lobster was phenomenal. It was pre-cut up served inside the lobster shell with a rich buttery sauce. Potatoes roasted with seaweed and chives plus focaccia with a basil oil came as sides for the table. Dessert was not included with the lunch special, but we were too full to order any.”

Explosions of flavor

Had a fantastic meal, the tasting menu. Every course was beautifully presented and tasty explosions of flavor in my mouth. The scallops were my fav, followed by the raw oysters.”

Number one choice for any celebration

From the moment we arrived we felt as if we were in for a special evening. Understated decor and wonderful service set the tone for the tasting menu. We had a complication of a fish and seafood allergy (me!) they offered alternatives of vegan courses for fish courses.

We started with cocktails and sparking wine whilst we looked at the menu. I am not intending of going into details of each course as half of the joy is discovering the menu when you arrive, but if you do like lobster, that extra course is not to be missed!!!

Each course was perfect and the vegan alternatives were delicious and I didn’t feel as if I was missing out at all.

Deserts was described as an homage to Dean Banks grandmothers banoffee pie. The love behind this course was obvious and it ended the meal on a real high.

As it was my nieces 21st they brought her a “shot”. No boring shot of tequila here though, as it was all homemade and delicious.

A special night and whilst not cheap, a treat to celebrate and we would highly recommend”
