This was undoubtedly the best meal we have had this year ,and I include 2 Michelin starred restaurants in that list.
The attention to detail in every aspect was outstanding .Our lunch was wonderful, the food beautifully presented on fabulous plates.The flavour and texture of every dish was amazing .The staff were all friendly, knowledgable and professional.

“The ultimate dining experience.
We dined and stayed overnight on Friday evening and from beginning to end was a wonderful experience. The young staff members have a great knowledge of the food and wine served and we thoroughly enjoyed every course along with wine pairings. The seating at Chef’s table for snacks prepared in front of us made the whole dining experience that bit special. Enjoyed every course and like a previous reviewer must recommend Nana’s Banoffee. The rooms at Haar are very comfortable and toiletries etc are of a very high standard. Must admit that I have never used Laura Thomas Co. products before but will look out for them in the future. Breakfast was cooked to order and was as expected of a high standard. Thanks to all staff on duty whilst we were at Haar for making this stay so enjoyable.”
We had the tasting menu and it was delightful. Sitting at the chefs table to watch them prepare snacks was a great experience. We had the lobster and was the best we have tasted . The staff were very friendly and we would thoroughly recommend it”

My wife was given an itison voucher for her birthday. We arrived for lunch early on Saturday. The restaurant was very busy but the staff couldn’t be happier to take care of us.We started at the chef’s table for 2 snacks, first was a tartare with kimchi dust(I have never liked the thought of this before, but it was delicious) next an Arbroath smokie tart with Cullen skink foam, again delicious. We were then shown to our table, every course was explained with passion, as were the pairing wines. Fantastic lunch. Thanks to all the staff who we’re working their socks off, but always smiling.”

We ate here a few days ago (Itison tasting menu) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Each course was very tasty and explained to us, the staff glad to answer questions about some unfamiliar components of a dish. We were especially pleased that we were given tasty alternatives to a couple of things on the menu that we don't like. The "snacks" at the chef's table at the beginning of our meal was a highlight- very entertaining seeing the (delicious) food being prepared, and who could forget the haar swirling around our oysters on a bed of stones? We had some very tasty mocktails too. Loved the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. All in all, a very pleasurable evening, thank you.”

We ate there on Sunday and it was a joy from start to finish. Loved the 'snacks' at the chef's table and the great presentation and explanation of the dishes. We took the paired wine option which complemented the dishes perfectly, and the dishes were all amazing. The staff were all friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. One of our favourite meals ever. Taster menu started with a few snacks: wow. The start of a great food voyage. I’ll not spoil the surprise for what we actually ate, but rest assured, I need to go back for more. All
washed down with a recommended wine.
Every course was fresh as fresh can be, extremely tasty with enough to enjoy whilst not over filling.
The staff were very hospitable, warm and friendly with nothing too much for them.
