Dean Banks’ is the owner of St Andrews Haar Restaurant. Dean Bank’s is experienced vastly above his years, his skill and ability to craft dishes with a fusion of cooking styles and flavour profiles from around the globe are incredible.

He has been a chef since the age of 15 and his career has seen him travel to over 40 countries, this really shows in what comes out of the kitchen at Haar. The dishes are continually evolving and changing with what's available locally.

Dean Banks brings all this knowledge back to St Andrews. Opening his Scottish restaurant Haar, with a team of like-minded chefs, they create an ever-changing, exciting and delicious menu.

Dean Banks has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes and included in the Michelin Guide – making him one of the most highly-rated chefs in Scotland.

Haar at Home

Haar at Home began at the beginning of the national lockdown. When Dean Banks’ St Andrews location temporarily closed its doors in March.

Our Luxury Home Delivery Boxes are prepared by Dean Banks and his team at Haar at Home. His view is to pioneer home delivery fine-dining – offering an experience like no other, and hero some of the best produce the world has to offer, enjoyed at home.

Haar at Home aims to offer a fine-dining experience to that if you were dining in our restaurant at St Andrew’s. Delivering accessible and easy to prepare high-end food, enjoyed at home. It really is enjoyment unlike anything else, offering some of the finest seafood and produce that Scotland and St Andrews has to provide, now delivered nationwide in the UK.
